Explore Pre Uni Arts / Cultural Heritage Studies at Cathal Brugha FET College

The well known Pre University Arts/Humanities course (from Killester College) has moved to the new Cathal Brugha FET College, D. 1. This long established course is aimed at students who want to progress to Third level, many of whom want to train as teachers but also aspire to areas such as law, policy, tourism or heritage. We have a strong record of graduates entering Third level ( four of the 2023 class have gained a place in Trinity College)

The programme is particularly suited to people with a keen interest in subject areas such as history, archaeology and folklore.

The course often attracts mature learners returning to education or retirees who wish to pursue their interest in Cultural Heritage.

This course is an immersive experience! -among the sites visited this year were Henrietta St. Living Museum, Marino Casino, The National Library of Ireland, The National Museum of Ireland, the Pro Cathedral & Crypts and New Grange.

Due to our new city centre location, the plan is to increase the number of outings to local heritage sites to maximise our proximity to the wealth and depth of Dublin’s historical centre.
