President McKiernan continued,Although this is a good news story we can’t overlook the impact remote learning has had on all our existing students and their ability to re-engage with in person teaching and structured examinations. We are aware of the issue with student retention which is a national problem with all third level education providers. We, at DkIT have put a number of supports in place to help students adjust, while emphasising the benefits of the on-campus student experience’

Over the last 12 months DkIT have academically excelled which saw them win several major educational awards and accreditations including three DELTA Awards, the John Kelly Award and a noteworthy award for their Careers and Employability centre, furthermore the Institute are also delighted to report that 91% of its graduates are in employment or further education within 12 months of graduating.
