BB (Hons) in International Business with Digitalisation (DK801)

Modern businesses are increasingly reliant on the effective use of information systems to manage their businesses, as they now operate in both a digital and global marketplace. As a result, today’s employers are actively seeking to recruit graduates that have strong familiarity with, and expertise in, the digital workplace as well as understanding the international business environment. This new Level 8 programme, in addition to covering core business and management modules, also covers those modules that will prepare graduates for work in a modern digital age. Creativity will be emphasised throughout the course to help learners develop a reflective, problem-solving and entrepreneurial mindset in the context of digital business.

Graduates will also be able to apply the theories of strategic management to develop entry strategies into international markets while, at the same time, being able to adapt to the cultural environments of these markets. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad or complete a work placement during their third year of study. Career opportunities will be in areas such as IT systems and support, web design, media publishing, database development, digital marketing, digital media management and data analytics. In addition to these more specialised IT areas, the core business and management modules covered mean that graduates will also be suited to careers in business management, marketing, accounting and finance, HR and operations management.
