What DkIT Feels Like for Students…
Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) were thrilled to recently unveil their new outdoor advertising campaign which can be seen on billboards and bus stops throughout the Northeast. This campaign which focuses and captures what students have described as their feelings of being educated in the Institute, depicts their feedback of DkIT feeling like a journey, growth, opportunity, the future and passion. The campaign features local students who are pursuing degrees, Robyn Woods who is studying for a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Micheal Traynor for a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Naomi Uamai for a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Technology, Fayaz Khalid for a Bachelor of Science in Software development and Lane Galvin who is completing a Masters in research in Midwifery.
The campaign was created around DkIT’s wonderful students and how DkIT is much more than a place of learning; it’s a place of growth that supports each students’ individual needs.
As stated by the great Albert Einstein “The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think.” DkIT prides itself on seeing the individual and supporting students’ personal growth as they develop within an educational community. Lots of factors contribute to students’ success in DkIT including the open-door policy for students, small class sizes and an academic strategy focused on practical work skills and employability. The Institute are proud to report that a massive 91% of DkIT graduates over the last 5 years are in employment or in further education within 6 months of graduating.
