DkIT's Perfect Part-Time Course for Manufacturing Professionals!

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) are delighted to continue to offer a part time Certificate in Health and Safety for the Manufacturing Industry. This highly regarded industry focused course is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

DkIT are delighted to report that this course is Springboard+-funded. The content of this certificate is aimed at employees in the manufacturing industry who require knowledge on how to manage occupational safety and health risks in their Industry. This course is of particular interest to those who may wish to undertake safety officer roles in their companies. The content of this programme facilitates a strong collaboration with pharmaceutical and food industries and other manufacturing sectors, which will take the form of guest speakers and relevant site visits. The part time and predominately online nature of this course allows for flexible learning whilst you work.

The course was originally developed in collaboration with ABP Food Group and is structured to facilitate practical knowledge theory and skills in health and safety. Modules on this certificate course include Health & Welfare at Work Legislation, Occupational Health & Hygiene, Risk and Safety Management, Chemical & Environment Risk Assessment and Machine and Process Safety. 

This is a predominately online course. Students however are required to attend for face-to-face classes (Thursdays 09.00hrs to 16.30hrs) 2 days per semester, (total of 4 days per academic calendar). The remainder of the programme will be delivered via live online lectures one evening a week.
