CIT Art and Design Portfolio Guidelines

Posted on November 25, 2020 An Art & Design Portfolio is required as part of your application to:

• BA (Honours) in Fine Art [CR 220]
• BA (Honours) in Contemporary Applied Art (Ceramics, Glass, Textiles) [CR 210]
• BA (Honours) in Photography with New Media [CR225]
• BA (Honours) in Visual Communications [CR 600]

Each year we offer Portfolio Preparation Courses to help students to prepare their portfolios.

Your Portfolio showcases what interests you, it should show your ability and potential to engage in a challenging and creative contemporary art and design practice. Your Portfolio will be assessed under the following headings:

• Ideas & Investigation
• Practical Skills & Use of Media
• Visual Enquiry, Analysis & Communication
• Selection & Presentation
