Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Home Economics & Business, MTU Cork Campus
The programme commences in September 2021 (through the CAO: CR930), with 32 places available. Graduates who achieve a minimum of Second-Class Honours Grade 2 award in the BA (Hons) in Home Economics and Business will automatically be offered a place on the Professional Master of Education (PME) post-primary, in UCC through a ‘protected places pathway’ agreement between both universities.
Completion of both programmes over 5 years, will allow graduates to meet all Teaching Council requirements to teach both Home Economics and Business to Leaving Certificate level in Irish post-primary schools.
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Global Business and Pilot Studies, MTU Cork Campus
The programme commences in September 2021 (Direct entry for Sept 2021, CAO entry for Sept 2022). A first of its kind in Ireland, this course enables students to pursue their flight training with our training partner Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA), as part of their level 8 degree.
This course is unique in that students commence flight training after just one year on campus at MTU, followed by two years flight training at AFTA, with the final year of the degree being completed online through MTU.
Developed with input from industry stakeholders, this programme will provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skillset by obtaining both a BSc (Honours) in Global Business and Pilot Studies and an Air Transport Pilots Licence over a four-year period.

The Department of Nursing and Healthcare Sciences in partnership with a consortium of IoTs and clinical partners are delighted to offer NURSE/MIDWIFE PRESCRIBING and ADVANCED PRACTICE programmes.
These are designed for nurses who wish to pursue a specific career pathway as a Registered Nurse/Midwife Prescriber (RNP/RMP) and/or Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP).
Launch of New Programme to Support Industry with Bioeconomy Innovation, MTU Kerry Campus
A new programme Circular Bioeconomy Industry Innovation Sprint presents an opportunity for industry across the South-West region to engage with Master level students to solve challenges and accelerate solutions to support bioeconomy actions in their business.
Through the delivery of a unique MSc Bioeconomy with Business course, an interdisciplinary team from MTU Kerry, UCD and Teagasc are preparing students for the workforce of the future. Students have gained a critical understanding of the concepts and frameworks of the bioeconomy from technological, environmental, social and business perspectives.
The Circular Bioeconomy Industry Innovation Sprint programme presents a pathway for employers to engage with talented Master level students and explore and progress bioeconomy goals through a challenged based research project over 12 weeks.
Munster Technological University is delighted to introduce a new Bachelor of Arts in Food Business Innovation for entry in September 2021.
The BA in Food Business Innovation programme will prepare students for careers in a variety of dynamic food businesses. Features of the programme include a focus on hands-on learning meaning student will develop knowledge and skills in a practical and applied setting while receiving a solid base of theoretical knowledge as they embark on the many exciting careers available.
