This one year course introduces the student to the profession of fashion design and styling. A thorough exploration of costume history and contemporary fashion, in addition to technical skills in garment construction, promotes a strong design & styling ability. This rare combination of fashion theory and practical design and construction skills make this a unique and highly desirable course. Supplemented with makeup skills and the creation of a professional photo shoot, this course provides students with a firm skill base within this niche industry. Students will supplement their studies with work experience in the relevant area. Additional digital media skills prepare students for the digital arena of contemporary fashion blogging and promotion in today's fashion world.
