This course provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the Business and/or Accounting sectors. Students who complete this Level 5 QQI course will have the opportunity to apply for an Apprenticeship with the Accounting Technicians of Ireland where they will work four days a week and attend college one day a week.
A 12-week work placement in a relevant workplace is part of the course. Learners will participate effectively in work experience, will work independently while under general direction, meet deadlines, observe good timekeeping, presentation, communication, adherence to health, safety and other relevant regulations. They will demonstrate personal, interpersonal and technological communication skills.
