Course Category: Direct Entry (Higher Education - HET)
The purpose of this programme is to provide the graduate with all-round exposure to the necessary skills required to work in the hospitality and tourism sector, whilst also assisting them in improving their English skills. In addition, this programme aims to assist the learner have a cultural awareness for the sector they are working in.
In addition to studying English modules, students of this programme will look at topics such as food and beverage studies, IT skills and accommodation operations. The purpose of this programme is to provide assistance to individuals who wish to commence their career in the hospitality and tourism sector, but require the basic skills in advance of doing so.
This is not a CAO entry course - course fees may be required - apply directly to the college.

The Social person's interests focus on interacting with the people in their environment. In all cases, the Social person enjoys the personal contact with other people in preference to the impersonal dealings with things, data and ideas found in other groups.

Social people are motivated by an interest in different types of people and like diversity in their work environments. Many are drawn towards careers in the caring professions and social welfare area, whilst others prefer teaching and other 'informing' roles.
