The aim of the overall BBS (Hons) programme is deliver graduates who will have gained:
An in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of business disciplines, and their inter-relationship, across a variety of areas associated with Business and Management, including Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Project Management, Data Analytics and Law, Applied understanding of business theory for multiple business contexts, experience with and confidence to apply management theories tools and techniques through practiced implementation of theories and tools in a variety of situations including case studies, group projects and individual projects. Be versed in a range of applied and analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on decision making from a business and/or management perspective, competency in problem solving, use of technology, research, interpersonal communication and teamwork skills, An appreciation of the significant changes and challenges occurring in an increasingly global competitive marketplace. The skills and competencies required to work within the challenges of professional business practice. The skills to undertake study at postgraduate level.

Launched in 2023, Tertiary Education Programmes are a new pathway to a bachelor’s degree. A joint further and higher education degree programme, tertiary education programmes begin in a local Education and Training Board Centre (College of Further Education and Training) and finish in a University. All tertiary education programmes lead to an NFQ level 7 or 8 degree.
