This course is an introduction to Nursing and will benefit anyone wishing to enter the Healthcare profession using a QQI qualification. It is recognised nationally by Universities and Institutes of Technology in Ireland and in the UK. It provides a learning environment, in which learners are encouraged, assisted and ultimately required to take responsibility for their own learning. Essential skills in nursing care are taught by our qualified staff in our fully equipped ward.
Students must complete work experience in a Nursing/Care facility. Prior to engaging in practical Work Experience, students will complete both People Moving & Handling and PHECC First Aid Responder (FAR) Courses. Successful students will be awarded a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Nursing Studies – 5M4349.
