This practical, workshop based course specialises in the making of wooden household items for the craft industry. Projects include the making of furniture, along with smaller items such as bowls, utensils, lamps, wood carvings, decorative items etc. From the beginning of the year, students are allocated a workbench and a full selection of woodworking hand tools. We encourage students to learn at their own pace and enjoy the endless possibilities of wood craft design and making. The course also focuses on the sustainable practice of green woodworking and furniture upcycling, bringing new life to otherwise unwanted pieces of furniture.
