<>This full-time course offers a foundation in Art and Design. Learners will explore experiment and build on basic skills in a variety of media and disciplines. Drawing from observation is a core element as is the use of sketchbooks for research and creative thinking. this approach leads to the development of a varied and project lead portfolio essential in progression to Art College.

This course can lead onto Advance Art (Level 6) or onto further studies and third level colleges in Ireland and abroad. The portfolio prepared during this course can by sued to apply of the portfolio assessment in LM076 Product Design and Technology or LM099 Architecture in the University of Limerick (UL).
