This course will allow its participants explore and influence the world of modern digital communications through media content production. Students will learn skills such as: digital photography, digital film recording and editing, radio and podcast production and an understanding of the interconnectivity of modern digital media communications.

Students will also be guided in the traditional foundation techniques used for effective researching and writing for both journalism and higher level academic studies.

This course has been updated to ensure that learners are equipped with the skills to work in a rapidly changing media environment and an in-depth knowledge of social media sources such as Twitter and YouTube.

The convergence of Online, Print and Radio Journalism that has occurred in the media means that graduates need to have an understanding of all of these media channels.
