This Advanced Certificate course is for those who have already successfully completed a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Sport, Recreation & Exercise or equivalent. The programme involves practical and theoretical sport studies to prepare learners for a career in sport coaching, sport development and the leisure sector. In addition, it also prepares students for progression to various sports related degrees, as well as specific advanced progression opportunities (access into year two of degree programmes) which have been agreed with a number of third level colleges.
