The Archaeology and Heritage course is particularly suited to adults with an interest in cultural and heritage studies who wish to return to education. Students will be introduced to key areas of Irish Archaeology, Folklore, Local History, Music and Heritage studies, enabling them to pursue employment opportunities in the tourist industry. Others may wish to continue studying course subjects at a higher level. There will be several field trips to places of archaeological, historical and cultural interest. These will include a visit to a 5000 year old Passage tomb and to the world famous, Early Medieval monastic site at Glendalough.
