This one-year course in journalism, Digital Media and Public Relations teaches students the skills to be a modern journalist or public relations professional. Students will learn how to work across various types of media, while still incorporating the main theoretical concepts of journalism.

Such people may have an opportunistic frame of mind, and are drawn to commerce, trade and making deals. Some pursue sales and marketing occupations. Many will eventually end up owning their own business, or in management roles in larger organisations. They tend to be very goal-oriented and work best when focused on a target. The Investigative person will usually find a particular area of science to be of interest. They are inclined toward intellectual and analytical activities and enjoy observation and theory. Career Progression
The Journalism award will allow graduates to access the level 8 degree in Journalism at DCU, TU Dublin, University of Limerick and NUI Galway. Students can also access many other degrees at Universities and IT or private colleges throughout the country such as Media Studies at Maynooth University and Multimedia at DCU. Graduates may also access other degrees at TU Dublin Blanchardstown, Tallaght and Dublin, Carlow IT, IADT and many more.
