Course Summary

This is a hands on MA in Broadcast Production for anyone who wants to develop the skills necessary to excel as a modern broadcaster. Students will learn production skills in radio and podcast production, online distribution, single-camera and multi-camera television.

Entry Requirements

This course is open to holders of an undergraduate qualification of 2nd Class Honours or higher. Experience of the media industries is an additional advantage.

Applicants without a degree may be considered provided they can demonstrate Honours Degree equivalence which can be verified through the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) process. Two references must support your application.

You may also be asked to attend an interview.

What should my portfolio include?
An online portfolio of your work should be submitted with your application providing an online link and access details. This may include:

1. Any media practice that demonstrates an aptitude for radio and/or television production or a 500-word review of a factual radio programme, a podcast or a television programme or series.

2. Written work, such as university articles in a student publication. If these do not exist, you should write a 500-word essay on why you want to work in radio or television.

Min Entry Requirements
Undergraduate qualification of 2nd Class Honours or higher at Honours Degree level.

Applicants may be considered provided they can demonstrate Honours Degree equivalence, which can be verified through the RPL (recognition of prior learning) process.

Two references must also support your application.

IADT operates a rolling admissions policy for graduate taught courses, with decisions issued in 4 weeks after a submitted and complete application is received.

An application is incomplete until you provide all required items on the checklist (including the application fee, if applicable).

Generally, courses will remain open to applications until all places are filled.

The course will start in late September.
Attendance is typically four days per week, full-time, and some weeks will be timetabled to attend full weeks.
