Some countries are renowned for certain industries and they often also offer high quality engineering degrees. Studying in such a country can give you an advantage and a unique selling point on the labour market in the future.

Europe

The most prominent Engineering countries with excellent undergraduate degrees in the area include Germany, the Netherlands, Finland and Denmark. Note that in these countries, you generally need to choose an area of engineering specialisation from the outset.

In addition, ETH Zurich is a Swiss University ranks high internationally and boasts over 20 Nobel Prize laureates amongst their alumni, including Albert Einstein. However, for undergraduates the main teaching language is German during the first year, and on some programmes, the second and third year are taught through English. Most postgraduate studies are in English.

If you want to study engineering at undergraduate level, Germany has quite a wide range of engineering Bachelor degrees taught through English. You can search for courses here.
