MyFuture+ (FE / Jobseekers)

MyFuture+ an innovative evidence-based programme supporting remote guidance and career learning provision

MyFuture+ is an innovative and on-line career planning and preparation for clients, jobseekers and learners and is currently well established in Youth, FET providers and Adult Guidance Services throughout the country.

It is proving to be invaluable in supporting clients, learners and job seekers in these remote times.  MyFuture+ is mobile compatible and can be accessed on any mobile device so barriers to access are a minimum and it supports digital literacy development.

The programme can be managed and monitored remotely and is an excellent example of an integrated evidence based practice guidance and career learning tool to support practice.

MyFuture+ Further Education & Training Version (FE & FET+)

This version is designed for use in colleges/centres of further education where the learners are organised into groups and linked to Guidance Counsellors and/or Tutors. Learners work under the supervision and guidance of their Tutor and Staff assigned to career planning and development.

The suite of tools and resources can include relevant QQI modules as delivered by the provider including Work Experience, Career Planning and Preparation and Personal and Professional Development.

A FET+ feature is available where many Teachers in a FET provider can register and only see their own groups of learners. Learners are assigned to the programme for a fixed period.

Some examples include; PLCs, Youthreach, NLN, CTCs, Adult and Community Education Centres and providers supporting groups of learners and clients with their career learning, development and decisions. MyFuture+ supports progression pathways to Higher Education, Apprenticeshiop and Employment Opportunities. 

MyFuture+ Next Steps Version

This version is designed for use in public employment services and organisations providing one-to-one careers education and employment support. Clients are linked to an individual staff member, using the apps and tools to support the clients’ career planning and goal setting. The clients remain on the programme for as long as is necessary to support them in the pre-employment and career decision-making process. 

Some examples include: Adult Education Guidance Services, Jobs Clubs, Local Employment Services, Partnership Staff and Services, Intreo and Services supporting clients and jobseekers with their career and educational  decisions.
