Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships are awarded to high calibre students from non-EEA countries to study in Ireland at postgraduate level for a period of one year.

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) programme supports high-calibre international students who wish to study at master’s or PhD level in Ireland [1]. The programme is funded by the Government of Ireland in partnership with Irish higher education institutions and managed by the Higher Education Authority. Under the initiative, 60 scholarships are awarded each year for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level. The programme is open to applicants studying in any field. What’s included A Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship consists of a stipend amounting to €10,000 for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level. The awardees’ host higher education institutions are required to give a full fee waiver to the awardees for the year of their scholarship. Successful scholars will be expected to commence their studies in either September or October 2024.

The bursaries will be awarded to learners who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their respective fields, possess a proven track record of excellence, and can outline a compelling vision for how the bursary will support them on their journey. This bursary is designed to empower and encourage individuals who have shown exemplary dedication to academic pursuit, creativity, innovation, or community. Applicants for the ETBI bursary must:

• Be a current full-time or part-time student at an ETB school / College/ Centre of Further education and training.

• Demonstrate a clear passion for and commitment to their subject matter, relative to the selected bursary.

For Brazilian postgraduate applicants to Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, Ireland. The Haddad Foundation will award up to four scholarships to Brazilian students who wish to pursue one of the above postgraduate courses and who are committed to positively impacting the cultural development in Brazil. Applicants will be assessed according to their academic merit, their potential to contribute to the overall Trinity community and to the scholarship programme and its aims.

Hardiman Scholarships applications for 2024 are now open. The Hardiman PhD Scholarships are fully funded for four years, with a stipend of €22,000 p.a. plus a tuition fee waiver. The Scholarships offer opportunities for suitably qualified individuals to pursue a Structured PhD focused on the five key areas of research in which the University offers leading expertise. The Higher Education Access Route (HEAR)  is a college and university scheme that offers places on reduced points and extra college support to school leavers from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are resident in the Republic of Ireland.

HEAR is for school leavers under the age of 23 as of 1 January, who are resident in the Republic of Ireland. Mature and FET (Further Education and Training) students have their own admissions routes and should contact college admissions offices for more information. Applications to HEAR can only be made online through the CAO.

Awarded to a postgraduate student of proven academic excellence to pursue postgraduate studies in German at UCD. Applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in German will also be considered

The aim of the Henderson Park Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to passionate and motivated students who will make their mark on the construction & property sector. Students interested in applying for the Henderson Park Scholarships will be asked to demonstrate their interest, passion and academic excellence in their field.

The scholarship is open to 1st & 2nd year students in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics (TU837) or Property Economics (TU836.) Those chosen are awarded a contract of support of €3,000 for each year left of their study.

The Award is for the purpose of Ph.D. research in the area of Irish Folk and Language studies, with scholarships valued at €8,000 plus EU fee cover per year. The Henry Flood Research Scholarship is award for the purpose of Ph.D. research in the area of Irish Folk and Language studies to a graduate on the books of the University who has shown sufficient merit. The scholarship is tenable for one year but may be renewed for a maximum of a further two years.

Each year the Higher Education Authority (HEA) run an International Education Scholarships Programme. Under the initiative 60 scholarships will be provided for one year study at Bachelor, Masters or PhD levels to successful candidates who have an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution. The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and is applicable to all fields of study.

The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme aims to support local students to pursue studies in world renowned universities outside Hong Kong, with a view to grooming a top cadre of talents with global vision, international network and world-class education, thereby contributing to enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness as Asia’s World City in a globalised knowledge economy. The scheme also seeks to support those students who have excellent academic achievement but lack the financial means to study in top-notch universities outside Hong Kong.

The aim of this scholarship is to address the shortage of women in STEM2D careers in Ireland and increase undergraduate women perusing degrees in these fields. It shall be open to competition annually only among registered female BSc Computer Science and BSc Data Science and Analytics undergraduates who have completed the 1st year of their degree and who have achieved a mark of at least a 60%, at the first attempt.

The Huawei Tech4her Scholarships at TU Dublin demonstrate Huawei’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in the Tech sector. The scholarships recognise 8 students with a financial award of €3,000 each and the opportunity to engage with employees from Huawei to learn about career paths and skills for work in the tech sector.

Two scholarships availaible. One scholarship is for undergraduate study in the BSc Aviation Management, and one scholarship is for the full-time or part-time postgraduate study of the MSc in Management (Aviation Leadership) programme.
