The deadline for application in order to be considered for the Design History and Material Culture MA scholarship is 31st May 2024, the programme commences in September 2024.  Applications can be submitted and places on the MA can be offered before this deadline and so please do not delay the application process.

This new annual Lyra McKee Bursary will help launch a journalistic career by providing financial support to enable a post graduate student to pay the fees for a Master’s Degree in Journalism at one of four participating Irish universities (including University of Galway). Valued at €3,000, the Bursary consists of €1,500 from the Press Council of Ireland and the Office of the Press Ombudsman and €1,500 from the university at which the student has been offered a place on the Master’s Degree in Journalism programme.
