Based on a successful application, ATU supported by the Advance Centre, will be offering a full-fee scholarship for 2 part-time students on each of the following programmes in the College: Certificate in Advanced Lean Sigma Quality (Level 8, 30 credits) Graduate Certificate in Automotive Artificial Intelligence (Level 9, 30 credits) 30% Club Scholarships.
The Advance Centre is a HCI Pillar 3 funded project that offers courses on Digital Transform in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) for part-time professional learners and full-time graduate students. The Centre is a collaboration between UCD, ATU and TU Dublin.

A curriculum vitae, which sets out qualifications and work experience (the CV should be limited to 3 pages)
1. A letter of application which outlines why the applicant should be considered for the scholarship (word limit = 750 words). The letter should indicate which postgraduate programme interests the applicant.

At ATU Sligo, we want our students to reach their full potential, academically and personally. To help with this we offer a number of scholarship opportunities to our students every year. In addition to the ATU-wide scholarships available to students at any ATU campus, we are delighted to offer additional scholarships to students at our ATU Sligo campus under the following categories:
Dearcan Foundation Scholarship
The Dearcan Foundation was founded in 2021 in memory of a John Sisk & Son employee, Dave Tracey, the long serving manager of the John G. Sisk Training Centre. Dave endeavoured to ensure that young people were supported in pursuing whatever their chosen career was whether in construction or otherwise.
This scholarship offers €10,000 to one student at ATU to support them in their studies. The funds can be used for living expenses, fees, or other costs.
The scholarship aims to invest in a 21st century health workforce that meets the needs of tomorrow and promote diversity in higher education by supporting young people from less advantaged and non-traditional backgrounds.
The program will be delivered by Optum Ireland in partnership with Atlantic Technological University (ATU). The North West Health Care Scholarship Program provides three scholarships to ATU Donegal, two scholarships to ATU Sligo / ATU Galway-Mayo.
ATU Sligo have partnered with Abbott Nutrition, Avenue Mould Solutions, Moll Industries Ireland Ltd., Ophardt Hygiene Ireland, Prior PLM Medical and Ward Automation to offer financial bursaries of up to €1000 to CAO applicants choosing to study AU834 BEng in Precision Engineering and Design This is to help combat the huge skill shortages within this specialist area of mechanical engineering.
Interested students can contact companies directly for more information. Companies will award the bursary to students on successful completion of first year exams in AU834 BEng in Precision Engineering & Design at ATU Sligo.
The Institute has an important role in driving economic and social development in the North West of Ireland. Relevant, effective Research and Innovation is a key element of this. We have a vibrant and productive research community, active in the undergraduate, postgraduate and professional research spheres. The President of ATU Sligo supports many research opportunities each year for students to help accomplish this important work. This bursary will provide research students with a maintenance grant and paid tuition fees.
Tusla and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth have secured Dormant Accounts funding to provide a Bursary Scheme to young adults who have had a care experience of at least 6 months and are aged 18 or over. The funding is intended to support and assist young adults to achieve their full potential in education or training. This scheme will provide funding for young adults to access further education and to support their career development. It has been developed to support young people who are not receiving specific State funding for their education and/or training.Eligible people will be able to apply for funding up to €5,000.
Intel’s success in Ireland has been built on the quality of highly skilled and educated people available in the country. Through the ‘Women in Technology’ scholarship program, Intel hopes to increase awareness and encourage a new generation of high-achieving women to take up the challenge of a career in science and technology.
We are directing this program through our partner MoU universities, with a focused approach targeting female students committed to disciplines with proven relevance to our business.
Each university will advertise this program separately from September to October each year.
This Bursary is a unique opportunity only available to graduates of Theatre Design from ATU (IT Sligo) BA Performing Arts. It is a six month residency at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin and the graduate works on all aspects of Theatre management from costume design, prop management, sound and lighting, choreography, scriptwriting and directing.
Sligo Rovers signed football players who meet the entry criteria for study at ATU Sligo can be co-funded annually by ATU Sligo and Sligo Rovers Football Club. Four fee-waiver Scholarships are available per year for both male and female players. Scholarship holders will also play for the ATU Sligo soccer teams while also being signed with Sligo Rovers.
The IT Sligo Sport Scholarship Programme gives talented athletes the supports needed to excel in their chosen sport. Each year up to 60 Sports Scholarships are awarded. Alongside financial support, our Sport Scholars have access to top class sporting facilities, sports science supports and academic supports. This ensures our Student Athletes can achieve their Sporting goals whilst maintaining academic excellence.
The SVP Education and Training Bursary Fund has been established to support students of all ages who may financially struggle to access or stay in third level education and training programmes.
