“Under this scheme, which is in operation since 1981, awards are provided for new entrant undergraduate students who have serious physical disabilities and who propose to pursue primary degree courses in the National University of Ireland. In 2011, individual awards will be provided to new entrant undergraduate students, who are registering for the first year of a primary degree course of studies, in one of the Constituent Universities or Recognised Colleges of NUI, and who have serious physical disabilities.
Applicants are required to submit evidence of their disability with their completed application forms. The value of the awards is dependent on the number of eligible applications received.”

The SVP Education and Training Bursary Fund has been established to support students of all ages who may financially struggle to access or stay in third level education and training programmes.
The orchestra offers a number of scholarshps (around twenty) each year to student members based on audition. When filling out the application form, please indicate if you want to be considered for a scholarship. These are awarded to the best applicants regardless of instrument or degree stage and are generously funded by UCD Estates Services.
The current value of a scholarship is €500 in the first year, rising to €1000 following successful reaudition each year. There are no specific additional duties associated with the award, but scholars are expected to be leaders within the group and engage in occasional voluntary activites, such as attendance at open days and other public events.
The 30% Club Scholarship offers a Full Scholarship for the Master of Public Policy through the School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice.
The scholarship is for full tuition fees for Full time or Part time. Open solely for female candidates to apply.
The Coillte Forestry Scholarship for UCD students studying the BAgrSc Forestry degree programme.
The Coillte Forestry Scholarships will award two students from two colleges up to €20,000 for the duration of their degree programme. The scholarship is open to Leaving Certificate students and mature students who are planning to attend one of the eligible forestry undergraduate courses at UCD and SETU.
Applications are open from 1st February to 28th April 2024 and the award will be made in Autumn 2024.
Each scholarship recipient will also be offered the opportunity of paid summer employment in Coillte from first year onwards as well as an option to join Coillte once third level education is successfully completed.
The Think Again Scholarship is for women on low income, aged 23 and above, who want to study part-time or full-time for a degree. It provides funding for living costs, as well as a range of other vital supports such as career and personal development.
Each year, UCD awards Cothrom na Féinne Scholarships to students from low-income households, students with physical or sensory disabilities, students from the Traveller Community, and those with Refugee, Asylum Seeker, Leave to Remain status.
Cothrom na Féinne Scholars demonstrate clear motivation to pursue higher education, despite education barriers faced, and act as leaders in Access & Lifelong Learning.
UCD Cothrom na Féinne scholarships help make access to education fair. Named after UCD's motto - "Justice and Equality", the UCD Cothrom na Féinne scholarships provide financial, academic and personal support to enable students from a diverse range of backgrounds to succeed at UCD. Eligibility criteria include: Low income, Entered UCD via one of the following pathways, HEAR, DARE, QQI-FET, Mature, University Access, Open Learning and member of HEA priority group.

The aim of the UCD Sports Scholarship programme is to give talented young people the opportunity of developing their sporting career by offering the highest standards in coaching, training, nutrition, strength and conditioning advice, while also completing their chosen course of study.
The UCD Sport Scholarship programme is independent of the Ad Astra Elite Athlete Programme with the exception of the unsuccessful applications for Ad Astra being transferred to the UCD Sport Scholarship applications upon the consent of such applicants. Furthermore, because a student is in receipt of an Ad Astra Elite Athlete scholarship in a particular sport, such an award has no bearing on the inclusion of that sport in the UCD Sport Scholarship list of sports.
