(Agriculture) students, based on their final year project. Students present to academic staff initially, and based on this a shortlist of students is chosen to present in front of the AIB Agri-team, where a winner and two runners up are chosen. In total, €1,000 in prize money is up for grabs.
The Coillte Forestry Scholarship will provide up to €20,000 financial support to two students who choose a degree course in forestry at either University College Dublin (UCD) or South East Technological University (SETU). The award will be €5,000 per year for the duration of the degree.

The Dawn Meats Food Science & Innovation Award award is presented to a student of the BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Innovation, who is judged to have the best overall final product and presentation of the Food Innovation Module.
Individuals who demonstrate that they have the potential to excel in their chosen discipline. The recipient will receive support services to support them in their academic studies and athletic performance. The recipient will also have the opportunity to be awarded a financial bursary within the same academic year as a result of high excellent performances for SETU Waterford subject to review by the scholarship committee.
The scholarship is primarily for 1 year but students can remain on the programme for a second year if the committee feels they have potential to make the progression to the next level.

The awards, kindly sponsored by Eurofins Scientific, honour the best project presentations from final year students in the Level 8 BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology with Biopharmaceutical Science programme.
The Google Insight Scholarship programme is the largest scholarship programme of its kind in Ireland. With a funding package of 1.5 million euro, more than 60 undergraduate students will receive scholarship support between 2024-2029.
The scholarship will support 3rd level students from underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds and communities, with a particular focus placed on students studying courses related to artificial intelligence (AI) and digital safety.
The fields of AI and digital safety are rapidly evolving, and there is a growing need for scholarships to support students from underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds and communities. The programme aims to assist underrepresented students in completing their undergraduate degree, through scholarship funding and wrap-around support.
To qualify for the scholarship programme applicants must be from an under-represented socioeconomically disadvantaged background. Applicants will need to be registered with their university access office. Applicants will need to fall under one or more of the following categories, including but not limited to:
HEAR Students DARE Students Members of the Traveller community and members of the Roma community Lone Parents and Care leavers Women in STEM
Successful applicants will be awarded €5,000 per year, up to a maximum duration of 5 years. Students must be registered with SETU Waterford Access Office, and also registered to one of the eligible courses.

SETU in Waterford, the Gaelic Players Association and the Women’s Gaelic Players Association have announced that they will be extending their Graduate Business Scholarship agreement for GPA & WGPA members for another three years.
The partnership has been mutually beneficial to date, with ten members of both associations receiving scholarship awards to facilitate their participation in the exclusive suite of Graduate Business programmes at WIT.
Five annual Scholarships for GPA/WGPA members are available on a number of programmes: MBS Marketing; MBS Management; MBS Human Resource Management; MBS Economics & Finance and the Executive MBA.

This bursary is for students who intend to travel overseas as part of their work placement module and is open to students from the BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Science and BSc in Agriculture programmes.
Currently, the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) and Glanbia provide sponsorship of €1,000 to students from the BSc in Agriculture programme, while the ASA and Seedtechsponsor students from the BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Science programme. Please note industry sponsors may change each year.
The successful students contribute articles to the Farmers Journal. News items will also feature in the local press from the students' hometown.

Reserved for athletes who have demonstrated outstanding sporting ability and have a proven track record of success at the highest level. These athletes will have received individual recognition for performances on the national or international stage. These athletes will receive academic fee support, €2,000 bursary and individual support services.
Sport Scholarships are given to those students who are excelling in their sport and participating at the highest level they can compete at. Those awarded this scholarship will receive a financial bursary and full support services for the year.
The SVP Education and Training Bursary Fund has been established to support students of all ages who may financially struggle to access or stay in third level education and training programmes.
The Bursaries are targeted at students who are socio-economically disadvantaged and who are from one of the following target groups:
Socio-economic groups that have low participation rates in higher education
First time, mature student entrants;

The family of Una McDermott have generously established a fund to honour the memory of our colleague, teacher and friend Una McDermott, former Horticulture lecturer in Teagasc and SETU in Waterford.
