The MA/MFA Art and Social Action is 1-year a postgraduate programme focused on trans-disciplinary practice and thinking that privileges collaborative approaches to production and creative approaches to social transformation, emphasising the capacity of arts practice to imagine our world differently.
There is a Postgrad Futures Scholarship 2024 available for one student joining this course. It is a half EU fee bursary awarded on academic merit.
All applicants to these programmes will be considered, on condition they have applied by 31 May 2024, excepting MA Service Design. MA Service Design applicants should write 500 words on why they should be awarded this merit-based scholarship.
The scholarship for part-time programmes will be awarded in 2 tranches i.e. half in Sept 2024 and half in Sept 2025.
Art in the Contemporary World is a taught Masters programme that examines contemporary art practices and their contexts. Scholarship applications will be reviewed after 31 May.
A tuition fee scholarship is available for a student on the School's MA programme Art in the Contemporary World to study either part time or full time. It will be awarded on the basis of prior academic achievement and future potential. The recipient of the Art in the Contemporary World award will act as a champion for the programme.
If you wish to be considered you should apply for admission to the programme in the normal way. In addition you should submit a one page covering letter outlining your academic achievements and the reason why you should be considered for the scholarship.
The deadline for application in order to be considered for the Art in the Contemporary World MA Scholarship is Friday, 31st May 2024, the programmes commence in September 2024.

NCAD now offers a Masters in Research to support students who wish to pursue a specialist and indepdendent programme of study that results in the award of a reserarch degree. Master of Research Scholarship is worth €2650.
The MSc in Medical Device Design is a 1-year, full-time, studio based programme which places an emphasis on human centred innovation. Graduates from creative and technical disciplines study side-by-side in a design studio working in collaboration with clinical and industry partners.
There are 2 Postgrad Futures Scholarships 2024 available for 2 students starting in Sept 2024, based on academic merit. One is a full EU tuition fee bursary and the other is half an EU tuition fee bursary.
There is a full EU tuition fee scholarship available for one student on the 2024 programme. It is based on academic merit. Only those who apply by 31 May 2024 will be reviewed. To apply include a 500 word document with you online application for the course.
There is a second half EU tuition fee available to one other MSc Medical Device Design student in 2024. This is also based on merit.

The Student Assistance Fund is available to students experiencing particular or unexpected financial hardship during the course of their study.
Round 2 of the Student Assistance Fund will open in January.
Each year NCAD offers a number of Research Student Scholarships to meet the cost of fees for PhD and MLitt students commending study in the autumn. (Living costs are not covered by the scheme).
Five scholarships will be available for students commencing study in 2024-5.
The Scholarships are intended to support new doctoral research in key fields where we have specialist interests and expertise. They are:
Material Cultures, Physical & Digital Making: Heritage & Futures
Future Teaching Practices, Student Culture/s and Pedagogies
Critical Technologies, Human Interfaces & Hybrid Objects
Structures, Systems & Power

Students who are awarded Research Student Scholarships can be registered in any of the four Schools of the College. They can be registered as 'by practice' or 'by thesis' researchers.
Scholarships can be awarded to full and part time students and cover the full period of registration (up to a maximum of 4 full time years or the part time equivalent).
The Scholarships are offered after application and interview. Priority will be given to applications which are received by 31st May 2024. They are awarded on the basis of the quality of application, and the experience and skills of the candidate.
