● Hold a Level 7 or level 8 primary degree in a healthcare discipline.

● Recognition of prior learning (RPL) will be considered for applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements but have other relevant qualifications and work experience in the healthcare sector (e.g.. Healthcare, allied health, education, law, HR, management or equivalent).

The Aim High Medicine Scholarship provides support for Irish Leaving Certificate students who excel academically and are passionate about developing a lifelong career in medicine. One scholarship is awarded each year to a student who is HEAR eligible.

This scholarship offers additional financial support of €25,000 in total, for the duration of the Undergraduate Medicine programme.

The purpose of the Consilio Manuque Medicine scholarship is to foster academic excellence and is awarded to the student with the highest combined Irish Leaving Certificate and HPAT score, entering the RCSI Undergraduate Medicine programme. These scholarships are worth €25,000 in total, for each successful applicant, for the duration of the Undergraduate Medicine programme.

• Complete the online Consilio Manuque Medicine Scholarship application form – including a personal statement (300-500 words) detailing their passion and commitment to study medicine – by the closing date of 1 July. Early application is encouraged.
• Arrange for a confidential academic referee to complete the online Consilio Manuque Medicine Scholarship confidential academic reference form in advance of the closing date of 1 July.

The Kiran Pathak Pharmacy Scholarship provides support and educational opportunities for Irish Leaving Certificate students with a desire to study Pharmacy at RCSI. One scholarship is awarded each year to a student who is HEAR eligible. The Kiran Pathak Pharmacy Scholarship is offered to students who are Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) eligible.

This scholarship is available to students enrolling in the BSc in Advanced Therapeutic Technologies degree programme at RCSI from September 2024.

RCSI participates in the 1916 Bursary Fund, the Higher Education Admissions Route (HEAR), which supports socio-economically disadvantaged students, and the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE), which supports students applying with a disability. RCSI offers 6% of CAO places on reduced points to both the HEAR and DARE Schemes.

This scholarship offers additional financial support of €25,000 in total, for the duration of the Undergraduate Medicine programme.

The Traveller Community Access Programme (TCAP) aims to increase the participation of members from the Traveller Community in RCSI’s undergraduate medicine, physiotherapy and pharmacy programmes.
