eSentire whose European Headquarters is based in Ballincollig, Co.Cork, are funding a Perpetual Scholarship to be awarded by them to a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in IT Management student. The scholarship, which has been established in memory of eSentire Senior Executive, Yves Beretta, and is named as the 'Yves Beretta Memorial Scholarship'. Each year, a sum of €1,500 will be awarded to one second-year student and the selected student will also receive the scholarship for each of their subsequent years of study for his/her degree programme.

Intel’s success in Ireland has been built on the quality of highly skilled and educated people available in the country. Through the ‘Women in Technology’ scholarship program, Intel hopes to increase awareness and encourage a new generation of high-achieving women to take up the challenge of a career in science and technology. We are directing this program through our partner MoU universities, with a focused approach targeting female students committed to disciplines with proven relevance to our business. Each university will advertise this program separately from September to October each year.

The McKesson Women in IT Scholarship, valued at €3000 per year, will be awarded to the Leaving Certificate student with the highest CAO points entering a programme in the Department of Computer Science. The scholarship will be paid to the recipient for each year of her undergraduate degree programme.

Open to final year students in the Departments of Process, Energy and Transport Engineering and Mechanical, Biomedical and Manufacturing Engineering

The Rísam Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and research proposals must be aligned with MTU’s Research Prioritisation Thematic areas.

To underline its commitment to Sport, MTU annually awards Sports Scholarships to a wide range of sports for Seniors and First years (Freshers). The Sport Scholarships range in value from €500 to €1,250. It is expected that those awarded the Scholarship will have high levels of achievement in their chosen sport and a full involvement and participation in this sport at the Institute.

MTU Volunteer Abroad Scholarships are awarded to students to offer financial support to students who wish to experience volunteering abroad. The programme has supported 80 students volunteering in over 19 different countries.

 Application for this bursary will open to any student who has applied through the CAO to study the Honours degree in Automotive Business Management and Technology (MT847) at MTU Cork Campus.

The SVP Education and Training Bursary Fund has been established to support students of all ages who may  financially struggle to access or stay in third level education and training programmes.

The scholarship aims to enable students from socio-economically disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to access higher education.

Trellix are funding this perpetual scholarship in memory of Alejandro de la Flor who passed away in 2008. Alejandro was an Erasmus exchange student who studied in the Department of Computer Science during the 2007/08 academic year. Alejandro did work placement with Trellix while he was in Cork. Tragically, Alejandro passed away soon after he returned to Spain. The value of this scholarship will be €3000 per year and will be awarded to a third year Computer Science student each year. The scholarship will be paid to the recipient for year 3 and year 4 of their academic programme. McAfee will also offer the holder of the scholarship work placement during year 3 of their degree programme.

Uversity’s Scholarships are for adult learners who wish to complete a Bachelor’s (Ordinary or Higher) Degree, for the first time, that will help transform their lives and the lives of those around them. Applications for forthcoming Academic Year open in February.
