This is a fully funded scholarship and is awarded to an outstanding female candidate based on the breadth and depth of work experience as well as past academic / professional qualification performance. Participants should hold a primary degree or professional qualification and be ordinarily or legally resident in Ireland. Consideration will also be given to applicants who do not hold a primary degree but whose depth of industry / organisational experience, deems them suitable participants. ABP Agri-Food Student Bursary - DkIT has partnered with APB, one of Europe's leading privately owned agribusiness companies to provide 2 Bursary Prizes to the highest performing students from the BSc (Hons) in Sustainable Agriculture & BSc (Hons) in Food and Agri-Business. 

Incoming students will be awarded an Academic Achievement Entrance Scholarship by gaining the highest CAO points through their Leaving Certificate examination. This scholarship will be awarded to the highest point earner on each undergraduate programme, with an award amount of €500 per student. 

In addition to the monetary award the students, along with their families and Principles and Guidance Counsellors, will be invited to an awards ceremony where the former Principal will receive a plaque for the school marking this significant achievement.

Monaghan Institute recognises the calibre of its incoming high-achieving students with the award of the MI Academic Scholarship. Scholarships are presented to first year students who achieve 400 points or more in their Leaving Certificate (or equivalent second level examination) in recognition of their academic accomplishment to date. Allocation of the bursary is operating on a pilot basis in 2023. Eligibility for the access and inclusion bursary will be reviewed and updated for 2024.

This scholarship is run in tandem with the auditions for the Musical Theatre and Performing Arts auditions each year.

The top five students, based on their audition performance, will be asked to attend an interview to select a recipient. The winner is awarded a full year tuition fee paid.

Funded by Action Renewables, this scholarship will provide one full time student on the MSc Energy Storage (Belfast campus), with £15,000 to cover full tuition fees plus a stipend.

The Ad Astra Academy is an initiative designed to recognise and nurture exceptional students in academia, sports and the performing arts. The UCD Ad Astra Academic programme is looking for students who have a proven record of academic excellence and a desire to continue to achieve at the highest level. Up to 15 scholarships are awarded to incoming students each year.

Interview Dates:

Interviews will take place after CAO offers. Any student shortlisted must be able to attend on the date given.

Notification:

Students shortlisted for interview will be notified after the first round of CAO offers via their UCD Connect email account.

The UCD Ad Astra Elite Sports programme supports students who are competing and succeeding at the highest sporting levels. Athletes in the Academy compete at international level or in the case of GAA, they compete at inter-county level. At any one time, there are 60 Elite Sports Scholars in the programme with an average intake of 15 each year.
The value of the scholarship for new scholars entering the programme in September is €3,000 which can be used to offset the cost of fees, accommodation, or used as a bursary.

The UCD Sport Scholarship programme is independent of the Ad Astra Elite Athlete Programme with the exception of the unsuccessful applications for Ad Astra being transferred to the UCD Sport Scholarship applications upon the consent of such applicants. Furthermore, because a student is in receipt of an Ad Astra Elite Athlete scholarship in a particular sport, such an award has no bearing on the inclusion of that sport in the UCD Sport Scholarship list of sports.

The Adelaide Health Foundation, Student Nurse Bursary Scheme is open to student nurses attached to Tallaght University Hospital who are undertaking the Nursing Degrees (TR091, TR093 and TR911); 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Nurse Students are eligible to apply.

AIB sponsor a first, second and third prize for the Land Management

Number of Places: 3 (1 winner and 2 runners-up)

Monetary Value: €1,000 between the three finalists (Agriculture) students, based on their final year project. Students present to academic staff initially, and based on this a shortlist of students is chosen to present in front of the AIB Agri-team, where a winner and two runners up are chosen. In total, €1,000 in prize money is up for grabs.

The Aim High Medicine Scholarship provides support for Irish Leaving Certificate students who excel academically and are passionate about developing a lifelong career in medicine. One scholarship is awarded each year to a student who is HEAR eligible.

This scholarship offers additional financial support of €25,000 in total, for the duration of the Undergraduate Medicine programme.
