Monetary Value: €1,500 The MOY Materials scholarship valued at €1,500 is offered annually to a 4th year student of the BSc in Architectural & BIM Technology honours degree programme along with a job placement opportunity.

The Moy Materials Scholarship for Architectural Technology aims to support a 3rd year Architectural Technology student who has demonstrated a combination of steady academic achievement and engagement with a clear sense of their future role as an Architectural Technologist in practice. The scholarship is worth €3,000 and is open to current third year students of the DT175 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology.

The fellowship is undertaken by NUIG MSc in Clinical Research Students in the HRB Clinical Research Facility Galway for a pre-defined period, and working across a variety of disciplines including clinical, data management, Quality and research support. Benefits of the fellowship to students is that it will allow students to gain a greater understanding of clinical research, its practical conduct, clinical research practice guidelines and data entry requirements. The fellowship will provide a stipend of €1,000/month for the duration of the fellowship.

The School of Law and Trinity Business School are delighted to offer two scholarships to students undertaking the MSc Law and Finance degree in academic year 2022/23.  The value of the scholarship is a 5,000 euro contribution towards tuition fees (EU or Non-EU). The MSc in Medical Device Design is a 1-year, full-time, studio based programme which places an emphasis on human centred innovation. Graduates from creative and technical disciplines study side-by-side in a design studio working in collaboration with clinical and industry partners.

There are 2 Postgrad Futures Scholarships 2024 available for 2 students starting in Sept 2024, based on academic merit. One is a full EU tuition fee bursary and the other is half an EU tuition fee bursary.
There is a full EU tuition fee scholarship available for one student on the 2024 programme.  It is based on academic merit. Only those who apply by 31 May 2024 will be reviewed. The Rísam Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and research proposals must be aligned with MTU’s Research Prioritisation Thematic areas.

To underline its commitment to Sport, MTU annually awards Sports Scholarships to a wide range of sports for Seniors and First years (Freshers). The Sport Scholarships range in value from €500 to €1,250. It is expected that those awarded the Scholarship will have high levels of achievement in their chosen sport and a full involvement and participation in this sport at the Institute.

MTU Volunteer Abroad Scholarships are awarded to students to offer financial support to students who wish to experience volunteering abroad. The programme has supported 80 students volunteering in over 19 different countries.

 Application for this bursary will open to any student who has applied through the CAO to study the Honours degree in Automotive Business Management and Technology (MT847) at MTU Cork Campus.

The GAA have underlined their commitment to the ongoing educational development of their players and members through its bursary scheme. The Munster Council GAA Bursaries (valued at €750 per year) are administered by the Provincial Council and are awarded in accordance with the conditions outlined below and any additional criteria laid down by the individual Provincial Council.

Each year, the GAA Munster Council part-fund 10 GAA Scholarship Awards for students from Munster. These awards are available in hurling, men’s and ladies’ gaelic football and camogie. Application forms for these are available in September from the SETU Waterford Sport Scholarship Office. You can only receive this award for 2 years. Musgrave Scholarships in the School of Culinary Arts & Food Technology support & reward high achieving students in the BA in Culinary Arts (TU942) and BSc in Culinary Entrepreneurship (TU943) programmes with scholarships to the value of €3,000 each.

The Gerard Byrne Bursary consists of two annual grants for two undergraduate students only, with confirmed visual impairment or blindness, studying on a full-time basis at a recognised educational institution in the Republic of Ireland only. The annual bursary is awarded at €1,500 per year across the remainder of the student’s full time degree.

The New Entrant Sports Scholarship is designed to support talented athletes on their journey of combining a top-class third level education and the highest standards of performance in their chosen sport(s). We also consider applications on a case-by-case basis in other sports from athletes who demonstrate an ability to compete at Junior or Senior International level.

No Mind Left Behind (NMLB) is an educational initiative of The Ireland Funds that aims to provide promising young people with the support they need to access and complete third-level education. No Mind Left Behind assists students in completing third-level education by providing an annual stipend of €3,000 over the duration of their course to help cover the costs incurred for books, accommodation, transportation and subsistence.

The vast majority of the grants made by Open Society are to organizations. Every year, Open Society awards grants for a wide range of activities, everything from discrete project grants to general operating support. In some circumstances, we give organizations flexibility in how they use our funding, while in others we make grants for specific projects. Ultimately the kind of grants an Open Society program makes depends on its strategy and vision of how best to allocate its budget to allow for greatest impact. Open Society also awards a limited number of grants to individuals, primarily through fellowships offered across a number of different programs.

The aim of the scheme is to support young people in County Donegal, particularly those who are less advantaged, to access third-level education.
