McDowell Memorial Studentships Robert Brendan McDowell (1913-2011) was Professor of History at Trinity College Dublin. First appointed as lecturer in 1945, he worked at TCD until retirement and continued to reside on campus until he was 94. On his death in 2011, he left a generous bequest to the History Department, which has been used to fund studentships.
One award will be made for a PhD student to start in either September 2024 or March 2025.
The awards are open to any student seeking to enrol on the PhD programme in History in either September 2024 or March 2025. Before submitting an application, the student must liaise with a potential supervisor in the History Department and begin the process of registering online for the PhD programme.
The award consists of full fees (EU or non-EU) and a stipend of €25,000 p.a. for four years.
Munster LGFA will fund three bursaries, valued at €750 each, awarded to current MIC students (undergraduate and full-time postgraduate) who are involved in ladies football in Munster (playing, coaching, administration etc).
Applicants must be a member of an LGFA club in a Munster county.
The Award is for a three year period of research on the Ph.D. register. It covers annual fees and provides maintenance of €13,000 per annum. There is an associated travel grant (€2,000-2,500), funded from the same bequest to which the holder of this fellowship may apply for research travel.

Through the scholarships, Radisson Blu can pinpoint and nurture up-and-coming talent within the hospitality and tourism industry, identifying best people early on and securing talent for employment in their hotels.

The annual Royal Irish Academy Hamilton Prize is awarded in nine higher education institutes in Ireland. It is presented to the best undergraduate mathematics students in their penultimate year of study as nominated by their individual University.
At the University of Limerick, the student with the highest QCA (based on Semesters 3, 4, 5) receives a cash prize of €250 for their performance in either LM058 BSc Financial Mathematics or BSc Mathematical Sciences option accessed through LM124 BSc Mathematics and BSc Physics accessed through LM125 BSc Physics
The DkIT Sanctuary Scheme consists of two different aspects: 1) Fees Support for those eligible for the Student Support Scheme and 2) Sanctuary Scholarships for those with Official Refugee Status who are ineligible for the “free fees” only by reason of not being in the country for the required period of time (three years).
