The 1916 Bursary Fund is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS). The purpose of this bursary is to encourage participation and success by students who are most socio-economically disadvantaged and who are from groups most under-represented in higher education.

The Coillte Forestry Scholarship for UCD students studying the BAgrSc Forestry degree programme.
The Coillte Forestry Scholarships will award two students from two colleges up to €20,000 for the duration of their degree programme. The scholarship is open to Leaving Certificate students and mature students who are planning to attend one of the eligible forestry undergraduate courses at UCD and SETU.
Applications are open from 1st February to 28th April 2024 and the award will be made in Autumn 2024.
Each scholarship recipient will also be offered the opportunity of paid summer employment in Coillte from first year onwards as well as an option to join Coillte once third level education is successfully completed.

Donegal Centre for Independant Living has introduced this scholarship as part of a project to support students with a disability by means of a financial bursary. The budget for this project is currently € 750.00 per annum per Student, awarded each year over the span of their chosen course.

Dr Elmer Morrissey graduated from UCC with a BE in 2002 and PhD in 2006. The Trustees of the Dr Elmer Morrissey Memorial Scholarship, consisting of classmates, colleagues and friends of the late Dr Morrissey, have raised a fund for the provision of an annual scholarship to be known as "The Dr Elmer Morrissey Memorial Scholarship", to recognise outstanding Engineering students who have excelled academically, in addition to making a positive contribution to student life. The value of the prize is c. €1,500, but this will vary with the income from the fund.

The friends and family of the late Eoin Murray have established a fund to support the development of creative writing within UCC. Eoin was a poet and a musician, who valued creativity, authenticity and connection with nature and humanity, and he lived his life according to those values.
