At ATU Sligo, we want our students to reach their full potential, academically and personally. To help with this we offer a number of scholarship opportunities to our students every year. In addition to the ATU-wide scholarships available to students at any ATU campus, we are delighted to offer additional scholarships to students at our ATU Sligo campus under the following categories:
Dearcan Foundation Scholarship
The Dearcan Foundation was founded in 2021 in memory of a John Sisk & Son employee, Dave Tracey, the long serving manager of the John G. Sisk Training Centre. Dave endeavoured to ensure that young people were supported in pursuing whatever their chosen career was whether in construction or otherwise.
This scholarship offers €10,000 to one student at ATU to support them in their studies. The funds can be used for living expenses, fees, or other costs.
ATU Sligo have partnered with Abbott Nutrition, Avenue Mould Solutions, Moll Industries Ireland Ltd., Ophardt Hygiene Ireland, Prior PLM Medical and Ward Automation to offer financial bursaries of up to €1000 to CAO applicants choosing to study AU834 BEng in Precision Engineering and Design This is to help combat the huge skill shortages within this specialist area of mechanical engineering.
