If the CAO points race is something you're trying to avoid there is another option that will lead you to a degree qualification. 

Direct Entry courses (also referred to as Non-CAO Entry courses) are college courses where application is made directly to the particular college, rather than through the CAO process.

Many universities and Institutes of Technology offer accredited degree programmes as Direct Entry courses. Private colleges also offer direct entry courses which are fee paying so do not use the competitive 'Points System' to select students.
