This course is designed as a collaboration between QQI and FAI and also between Pearson Awarding Body (BTEC) and Liverpool Football Club.

This advanced soccer coaching course is designed for those aiming to coach and perform at a professional level. Students gain deep insights into club operations and athlete development while earning advanced FAI coaching awards, providing a direct pathway to elite coaching opportunities in modern football.

Designed to equip you with in-demand skills, it prepares you to confidently support individuals using ethical, person-centred, and evidence-based approaches within dynamic multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout the course, you will develop a powerful combination of practical expertise and professional knowledge in areas such as rehabilitation practice, communication, leadership, and personal development. You will learn how to promote health and wellbeing, manage workplace challenges, and deliver inclusive support that empowers individuals to live independently and with dignity.Assessment on the course will include skills demonstrations, assignments and projects, reflective learner journals, presentations and workplace assessments of activities.

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill, and competence to work under supervision in a variety of community care settings and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

The Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator Training Programme course provides learners with the skills, understanding and practical experience of working with plants and gardens to assist in achieving positive cognitive and behavioural changes in young people, teenagers and adults.

At the end of the Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator Training Programme, learners will be able to offer Social and Therapeutic Horticulture programmes and sessions to young children, teenagers and adults from all different backgrounds.

This course is designed for people who want to attain the standards of proficiency for social care workers as defined by CORU. The learner will engage with 18 modules that explore social care practice and how it applies in various social care settings. Students will complete over 800 hours of supervised practice placement, in a social care setting.

This is a one year full-time course leading to a QQI level 5 award. The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in a range of community health service settings or to progress to further and/or higher education and training.

Social care workers provide professional individual or group care to clients with personal and social needs, in a caring, compassionate, non-judgmental way. Client groups include children and adolescents in residential care; young people in detention schools; people with intellectual or physical disabilities; people who are homeless; people with alcohol/drug dependency; families in the community, older people, and asylum-seekers/refugees.

This course will familiarise you with the latest concepts and theoretical developments in the relevant academic disciplines, and help you to develop as a self-aware, reflective, altruistic, empathic social care professional.

The overall aim of the course is to develop critically reflective, skilled and ethically aware practitioners with the capacity to build professional relationships, in partnership with vulnerable individuals and groups who experience marginalisation, disadvantage or special needs.

Professional practice placement is integral to this programme, where students complete two 13-week blocks in professional social care practice settings.

This degree will give you a recognised professional qualification in social care and prepare for you for the challenging and rewarding role of being a social care worker. Social Care Practice is a dynamic and continuously developing field that is now a professionally regulated career under CORU, along with other health and social care professions. Throughout this honours degree, students develop their critical thinking skills, have a greater understanding of human interaction and how to respond in a professional and informed way to the needs of people who use support services.

This one-year Advanced Certificate (Level 6) is designed to deepen expertise in critical social care areas, including Mental Health and Disability Awareness. The program challenges students to critically evaluate contemporary trends and models of social care provision through a rigorous blend of academic and practical modules. Students explore the diverse roles of a Social Care Professional, focusing on specialized intervention strategies and the professional development necessary to support vulnerable populations effectively.

Social Care Work is described by CORU as a relationship-based approach to the purposeful planning and provision of care, protection, psychosocial support, and advocacy in partnership with vulnerable individuals and groups who experience marginalisation, disadvantage, or special needs.

The importance of Social Care Work to the functioning of Irish society cannot be underestimated. The profession challenges the mechanics of inequality and forges creative pathways towards a fairer, more inclusive society where all human beings are valued.
