The Advanced Childhood Early Learning & Care course seeks to extend students knowledge in theoretical approaches and provides learners with the skills needed to work as a room leader/supervisor in a childcare setting.

Graduates can progress to degree programmes at third level or progress directly into employment in the childcare sector.

This is year 2 of the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Level 6). Learners can progress to this course if they have achieved the Early Learning and Care Level 5 award (Year 1) or if they have gone through an RPL process. This programme aims to meet the requirements of childcare supervisors and managers in relation to current childcare legislation and child protection legislation, as well as developing the core competencies required to work at managerial level.

This is year 2 of the Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Level 6). Learners will be provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to supervise in a range of Early Years services for children aged 0-6 years. The learners will have acquired the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners and to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting. 

This Advanced Certificate course supports learners gain knowledge and practical skills to be successful in a career in a variety of Early Years settings. Additionally, this programme includes modules for Special Needs Assisting.

The course provides opportunities to work as a Special Needs Assistant or personal carer in a variety of Early Childhood Care and Education settings including: Full Day Care, Pre-School, Primary and Secondary schools.

This is Stage Two of a Two Stage Programme.

The overall aim of the two stage programme is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to work as autonomous practitioners, subject to practice supervision, promoting and supporting the holistic needs of children from 0 to six years, and/or to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting.

This award also provides the learner with the opportunity to transfer and progress into further and higher education and training.

Advanced Early Learning & Care is an essential course for those who wish to have an in-depth understanding of the childcare industry. You will develop skills to work in diverse areas and be able to take on a supervisory position in an early years setting.

The aim of this one year full-time programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies required to work as an autonomous practitioner in an ELC setting and/or take responsibility for an area or room and co-ordinating the provision of a quality early learning and care environment.

This specialized program is designed for individuals who have completed Stage 1 Early Learning and Care (or equivalent) and are seeking professional advancement. It builds upon foundational knowledge to develop higher-level pedagogical skills, focusing on advanced child development and leadership in early years settings.

This is the second stage of a two-year programme which will provide learners with the opportunity of achieving an Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care. This programme will equip learners with the relevant skills, knowledge and experience for working professionally in the Early Learning and Care sector.

This professional programme enables you to further develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners, subject to practice supervision, promoting and supporting the holistic needs of children 0-6 years. It facilitates students in acquiring the qualifications necessary for employment in the childcare sector and as Classroom Assistants or Special Needs Assistants.

The overall aim of the two stage programme is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to work as autonomous practitioners, subject to practice supervision, promoting and supporting the holistic needs of children from 0 to six years, and/or to take responsibility for a room or area in an ELC setting.

The Advanced Early Learning and Care, Stage 2 professional programme enables learners to further develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work as autonomous practitioners able to promote and support the holistic needs of children aged 0-6 years.

The content of this course is both practical and theoretical and prepares the learner to meet the requirements of a supervisory role in a childcare setting. Additionally, the programme provides a comprehensive grounding in the area of legislation and regulation of the childcare sector in Ireland.

This one-year full time programme leads to an Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care (Stage 2) and is designed to meet the professional award standards for early learning and care at NFQ level 6.The aim of this one-year full time programme is to equip the learner with the vocational skills and knowledge to work as autonomous practitioners in an ELC setting and/or take responsibility for an area or room, leading and coordinating the provision of a quality early learning and care environment.The focus is on promoting the holistic well-being, development and learning of children from 0 to six years across a range of ELC settings. The programme offers a balance of theory and practice, and professional practice placement is integral to the teaching and learning. Learners who successfully complete the programme will have opportunities to progress into the work place or into further and higher education.
