This is a full time course including practical and theoretical training in aspects of Beauty & Body Therapy. This course leads to internationally recognised qualifications. This course focuses on documentary production and story-telling, communication through waveform and music, creation of soundscapes for games and film and experimentation with audio/visual technology. Students will be encouraged to experiment with modern modes of communication to create new sensory experiences for the audience. The course will foster creative communication using perspective, digital platforms and mixed media. It will examine how reality is documented and created and will also look at how individuals construct alternative realities within the world of gaming, advertising and social media.

Animal Science is an advanced course, building on the occupational skills achieved at Level 5. It is a perfect stepup course to lead you to supervisory careers, or onto Higher Education studies.

The course includes practical and theoretical study of the science of animal health and animal behaviour for domestic, farm and wild animals. You will also enhance your animal handling skills through ‘hands-on’ practical assignments, and explore the wider animal industry.

Individuals who seek to progress you career to higher level roles in the Beauty Industry, then the Professional Diploma in Beauty Therapy will support your ambitions.

You learn highly specialised skills in all aspects of Beauty Treatments, including laser, micro-dermabrasion and intense pulsed light treatments. There is an intensive focus on high level professional practice which will set-up you for a senior level role in the Beauty Treatments industry.

You will develop advanced level skills in practical technical units, where you will apply your creative talents as a make-up artist. Technical skills include fashion and editorial make-up techniques, and special effects make-up techniques for the Television, Film and Theatre industry. This advanced programme will support progression directly to careers in many areas of the Make-Up Artistry industry or on to Higher Education. You will also have the opportunity to complete an award in Education and Training, that will support you to teach others these skills.

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to further develop the range of skills completed at level 5 for a career in the fitness and leisure industry as well as providing learners with the expertise to work on a one-to-one basis as an advanced Personal Trainer OR Sports Massage Therapist.

The course covers a range of practical application with skill-based learning and the theory at the core of the outcomes. Learn the technical know-how, improve your own fitness, and learn to instruct others in a safe way. Practical work is carried out in a gym environment. Students will also have the opportunity to gain a swim teacher qualification.
