The Bachelor of Education in Home Economics is a four-year, concurrent level eight degree, university accredited and recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland. This professional qualification is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and beliefs necessary for teaching Home Economics to the highest level in the post-primary sector. The study of education is undertaken concurrently with study in the subject discipline Home Economics in each of the four years of the programme. School placement is a key feature of the programme and students undertake a school-based placement each year.

This is a unique access route into BSc Hons in General Nursing with Atlantic Technological University across three ETB campuses in the West, North West region aimed at widening participation to communities and individuals who would not traditionally consider third-level education as option.

It’s designed to enable students to sample core engineering modules in first year and help them decide which area of engineering they most enjoy. They can then choose the area they want to pursue in subsequent years.

For applicants who already know what area of business they would like to study, they can choose from Business TU902 (BUS), Business with IT TU022 (BIT) or International Business TU902 (INB).

Applicants who are unsure what area of Business is best for them can choose General Entry TU902 (GEN).

This course in Digital Marketing is the discipline of understanding how and why consumers buy products and services, and using those insights to satisfy consumer wants and needs. Subjects include Marketing, Web Design, Social Media, Advertising, Financial Planning, Online Advertising, Consumer Behaviour and Market Research.  

This four-year course prepares you for a career in professional accountancy and finance and can lead to a contact with an accounting practice. You don’t need to have studied any Leaving Certificate Accounting, Business or Economics subjects. We start at an introductory level, which will prepare you for the more complex concepts that you meet at a later stage in the course.

This course It explores the varied approaches to early childhood education and care, including child development, child psychology, sociology of childhood, art, drama and music, equality, diversity and inclusion, language acquisition, health and well-being, and safeguarding children.

A wide range of subjects are covered, from Economics Fundamentals, Leadership, Business Information Systems and Organisational Behavior to Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Intercultural Studies and Global Marketing.

In the first year of this degree you will gain a fundamental understanding of data collection and presentation, as you progress you will learn how to be more critical in your analysis, you will learn how this analysis is applied to decision making and business intelligence and by the final year you will be confidently using modern tools and techniques to understand how good data is used for predictive purposes.

The BA (Hons) Public Relations and Media shows students how to work as thoughtful professionals, using personal skills and media technologies to influence and persuade audiences and publics.

The LLB is a traditional law degree offering a curriculum of core and elective law subjects. Students are encouraged and supported in acquiring skills in legal analysis, legal research and written and oral communication. The course seeks to impart a sound understanding of law and the intellectual foundation necessary to prepare for a career as a legal professional.

On the course you learn the skills of being a designer, sketching, model making/prototyping, creative problem solving, visual communication and working as part of a team. You will be using programmes like Solidworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and more.

Applicants who select a specific degree option are guaranteed a place on that programme subject to meeting the entry requirements and points. Applicants who are undecided on choices should choose Common Entry. All applicants may change their selection up to the end of Year 1 and must confirm their specialism at that point.
