The School Leavers course is designed for students who are 22 years of age or under who have already completed a Leaving Certificate, QQI level 5 or 6 qualification or equivalent. 

This foundational program is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive "essential skills" toolkit, focusing on the core pillars of functional and personal growth. The curriculum delivers a solid grounding in literacy and numeracy, ensuring students possess the critical communication and analytical abilities required for daily life and modern workplaces.  Beyond academic and technical training, the program emphasizes personal development, fostering self-confidence, goal-setting, and the soft skills necessary for personal autonomy. 

The curriculum covers the dual mastery of manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring a deep grasp of fundamental accounting principles alongside technical proficiency in industry-standard software. Participants will learn to process business transactions, maintain accurate ledgers, and produce vital financial reports for a variety of organizational structures.

This program is designed for learners seeking to transition from basic fluency to a more confident, intermediate level of English. The curriculum focuses on expanding linguistic range and accuracy, enabling participants to interact effectively in standard social, cultural, and workplace environments.

The Interior Architecture and Design (Year Two) program at Dublin College Blackrock is an advanced qualification designed for those who already possess a foundation in design or architecture. This second year shifts the focus from residential basics to the complexities of commercial and spatial design. It is a professional-level course that pushes students to move beyond decoration and toward structural and conceptual innovation. By the end of the program, students will have transitioned from learners to junior designers, capable of delivering professional-grade presentations and technical drawings that meet industry standards.

This QQI Level 6 course is ideal for those who want to develop their skills to work in the fitness, health & leisure industry. The course covers a broad range of topics to provide students with the unique skills needed to gain employment/self employment and excel in the industry. This course includes Gaelic football coaching accreditation.

The Access to University Course is a full-time 13-week pre-entry course that leads to a place on your chosen undergraduate programme at UL. This course is for students whose economic or social backgrounds are underrepresented in higher education.

The course runs from January to June during the spring semester. The Access to University course has no course fee.

The course is open to QQI entrants and those under the age of 23.

Lero and CONFIRM Smart Manufacturing have partnered with the University of Limerick (UL) to deliver Ireland’s first qualification at level 10 (DEng) funded through the national apprenticeships programme: The Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng).

How a professional doctorate differs from a traditional doctorate
The traditional doctorate, the PDEng programme focuses on preparing candidates for an academic career and is thus focused on training people to rigorously address scientific problems which can result in a contribution to knowledge that can be published in the peer‐reviewed scientific literature.

Professional doctorates recognise the existence of research activities which can be described as professional practice. The context for this DEng programme is the practitioner workplace and the focus is on solving real‐world problems faced in the daily work‐place. The scope of these problems can be sufficiently large to be addressed in a significant piece of research planned and conducted over a period of time and which can ultimately result in a DEng award.

The IT Support Discovery program is a concentrated, eight-week full-time immersive experience designed for students and career changers exploring a future in the technology sector. This "taster" course provides a practical introduction to the fundamental pillars of IT maintenance, troubleshooting, and user assistance. Participants engage with real-world scenarios, learning to diagnose hardware issues, navigate operating systems, and manage basic network configurations.
