This course is a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate and is a progression course for any student who already has a QQI Level 5 Certificate or equivalent and for mature students who may have industry experience.

The course covers a wide range of business subjects and gives students a very strong foundation in management, marketing, sales, finance, law and economics. The course is designed to maximise the advanced-entry options to a range of degree programmes across our partner, higher-education colleges in Dublin. Small classes, a student-first focus, experienced teachers, low registration fees and great progression and employment opportunities make this level 6 course a great option.

This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to work in the Accountancy or Financial Services sector. Places are awarded via a competitive interview process, where applicants who meet the Enhanced Eligibility Criteria (see below) are put forward to participating employers for consideration. If you are successful at interview stage, your new employer will issue you with a two-year contract and you start your apprenticeship in September of each year.

You will work four days a week in an office environment, and study one day a week at Rathmines College.

All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week.  Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

This programme offers a broad range of skills and development opportunities. Special attention is given to facilitate personal creativity. The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge skills and competence to work autonomously and independently in a fine art context or to progress to higher education and training.

This is a professional oriented course designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, competences and attitudes to be a Dental Nurse and to facilitate progression within education, as part of further study.

The programme is both innovative and learner centred with both work-based and blended learning elements to enhance the educational experience, by working in conjunction with Dental practices and through using technology to enhance learning.

Applicants with a passion for working with animals, a willingness to work hard and a commitment to study. You will be responsible for securing an appropriate off-site work placement before the beginning of the course. This Level 6 course is directed more at employment/setting up your own business.

Digital and Business Skills is a programme designed to equip students with a broad range of employability competencies, preparing them for a successful career in the everchanging business and digital world.

The Level 6 course in Film is designed to give students the opportunity to express themselves through the medium of film. The programme combines an emphasis on the art of filmmaking and the visual representation of story with the development of technical, organisational and production skills.

It consists of five main areas: practical camera and lighting, theory and analysis, art direction, production management and postproduction processes. There is an emphasis on visual language and cinematography. Students will be encouraged to examine the variety of styles of filmmaking, both contemporary and historical.

This course introduces students to the rudiments involved in producing music in live sound recording and/or static settings, either in a home studio or in a large recording studio. Students learn from musicians who have worked in the industry and who will impart to them their knowledge of the performance and technical perspectives involved in creating high quality recordings.

On this course students will study the technical operation of sound recording equipment and the related industry standard software techniques necessary to complete a recording.  In addition, students will study project management and develop business skills that will give them the skillset to allow them to gain employment in this area or advance to further and higher education.

This one-year course aims to deepen students knowledge of a wide range of social care areas from Mental Health Awareness to Disability Awareness. It will stimulate and challenge students to evaluate current trends in the sector. The course is a comprehensive and challenging course comprising both academic and practical modules.
