This exciting programme will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and competencies required to provide a comprehensive guiding service for tourists visiting and travelling in Ireland. It will be relevant, practical and up-to-date with industry needs and follow best practice guidelines. The programme comprises two modules: Irish Tour Guiding and Irish Natural Heritage and Culture.

Student teachers are trained to use evidence-based reflection to continually improve their practice.

The programme is delivered through a blended learning design with a mixture of practical clinical learning, traditional classroom-based, simulation and online learning. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of becoming a registered nurse through studying and completing modules in professional practice, nursing practice and physical and human sciences.

The programme design is informed by data and analytics thought leaders from higher education and industry and covers areas such as data science, probability modelling, statistical data analysis and essential industry skills such as applied business analytics and effecting successful projects. 

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill, and competence to work under supervision in providing support in a variety of Healthcare settings and/or to progress to further and or higher education and training i.e. General Nursing, Veterinary Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Dental Nursing.

The National Print Museum seeks to collect, document, preserve exhibit and make accessible the material evidence of the printing craft and foster associated skills of the craft in Ireland. It is supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the City of Dublin Education Training Board (CDETB). It is also fully accredited under the Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.

The QQI Cultural and Heritage Studies Award is a long established Aontas award-winning programme at the National Print Museum which aims to assist people in developing the skills to seek employment in the Cultural and Heritage industry and/or progress to Further Education after the course. The programme combines theory with practical work experience offering participants the opportunity to work as tour guides within the National Print Museum and a further heritage site of choice for the work experience placement. Course participants benefit from weekly familiarisation trips to heritage sites, museums and galleries around the country. Further to this weekly workshops are provided in the traditional craft of Letterpress.

Design-led projects and a strong focus on design, woodwork, CAD and graphics ensures graduates are competent and confident in their role as a professional teacher. School Placements each year provide students with experience of the classroom, the role of the teacher and the whole school environment in a structured and supportive way.

We run a training Salon. This is to help learners to gain confidence, practice and work experience before they leave the centre. As well as gaining your VTCT qualification learners complete other QQI modules to help with their progression in their new career. This gives learners a great start in their Beauty Career.

You’ll become familiar with the business specialties and disciplines affecting both operational and strategic management decisions in such enterprises.
