‘There’s nothing more important than being video literate in a world dominated by screens’ Michael Rosenblum, Guardian Media Academy…and one thing all these videos will need is a soundtrack.
This course not only teaches and develops the particular skills of writing bespoke music for film and video but also outlines a clear career path in the Irish and international film music arena through the demystification of the music publishing world, the teaching of the practical skills of music administration (such as creating a synch licence for film) and in the dissemination of a general understanding of the film making process and its requirements for sound.
The student will leave the course with a comprehensive on-line portfolio and a distinct awareness of the areas in which to promote this.
