This course provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the Business and/or Accounting sectors. Students who complete this Level 5 QQI course will have the opportunity to apply for an Apprenticeship with the Accounting Technicians of Ireland where they will work four days a week and attend college one day a week.

A 12-week work placement in a relevant workplace is part of the course. Learners will participate effectively in work experience, will work independently while under general direction, meet deadlines, observe good timekeeping, presentation, communication, adherence to health, safety and other relevant regulations. They will demonstrate personal, interpersonal and technological communication skills.

This course is designed for students from overseas who wish to improve their knowledge of English and acquire Business and IT Skills. Students get the opportunity to participate in the diverse and vibrant learning environment of Rathmines College.

This course provides intensive English language training at intermediate level. Each student benefits from seven hours per week of English tuition.

The blend of business modules with practical IT skills on this course is a great balance between learning about business, accounting and economics and the day to day IT requirements of working in many business sectors. The QQI Level 5 Certificate in Aviation Finance offers an opportunity for those wishing to develop their skills in the Aviation Leasing Sector. This course will have an emphasis on aircraft and airline finance and leasing. The Certificate in Aviation Finance will give learners the opportunity to learn new skills with an emphasis on the acquisition and financing of aircraft as well as developing an understanding of the sector.
