This course aims to prepare learners for employment in the FinTech sector. This foundation course will introduce learners to the area of financial technology so that they will be motivated to pursue job opportunities and further training in the sector. The QQI Level 5 programme for the Photographic Studies course is designed to provide students with an introductory grounding in all aspects of photographic practice. Students progress through a series of workshops and lectures aimed at increasing their awareness of image making from concept to final production.

Upon successful completion of this course students will have the option of progression to QQI Level 6 Photographic Studies, and will have compiled a portfolio suitable for application to Third Level education.

The level 2 City & Guilds Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts is designed for candidates who are looking to start or develop a career in hospitality. They cover both transferable and job role specific skills, ensuring candidates become work ready not only for a specific role but for a career in the hospitality industry. By incorporating the latest industry trends and technology, this qualification prepares the graduates for international work, taking their first steps towards a successful career. It is aligned to the Global Hospitality Certification, developed in partnership with World Chefs and employers around the world.

This course will enable students to achieve strong culinary and pastry skills. Students will develop an understanding of menu planning and meal serv­ice. Students will be given the opportunity to gain EHAI (Envi­ronmental Health Association of Ireland) certification in Food Safety. Valid for a period of five years. This course is aimed at students interested in becoming chefs within the hospitality sector. On completion of the course chefs are work ready or can progress to the Commis Chef level 6 programme or pursue a culinary arts degree.

This one year course aims to provide students with the necessary practical skills and theoretical knowledge to pursue a career in Culinary Arts. All students participate in work experience where they practice their skills and gain valuable knowledge in the industry. This course was developed in response to the skills shortages currently being experienced within this industry in Ireland.

This course is timetabled over three days per week to accommodate chefs working in the industry.

This course will enable students to develop good culinary skills and pastry skills. Students will study Food Science, Food Technology, International Cuisines, Word Processing, Personal Effectiveness, Food Hygiene and develop an understanding of Menu Planning, Menu Design, and Meal Service.

This course allows learners to develop practical culinary skills with an understanding of nutrition, food science and food hygiene. The course includes active menu planning and food service in our restaurant. Students also have the opportunity to obtain a primary certificate in food hygiene accredited by the Environmental Health Officers Association (E.H.O.A).

The Good Food Circle in Kinsale is committed to providing a rich source of varied work experience for the students of this programme. The Course benefits from an on-site kitchen garden producing organic fruit and vegetables.

This full-time one-year programme will equip students with the necessary skills to go directly into the workplace or to pursue further study in a culinary area. Culinary skills are in high demand in Ireland and abroad, so employment prospectus are excellent.

Work placement/work experience maybe a core feature/element programmes in this field facilitating the enhancement of employability and transversal skills.
