As a result of the work placement and studying such topics as quality control, health and safety, continuous improvements in manufacturing and science skills, graduates will be very employable and improve their chances of securing a job as a production operator or packaging operator in a manufacturing business.

The programme will promote good practice among those working with people with additional needs, special needs children in the primary or secondary classroom situation or as a community care assistant with individuals with special needs.

The programme will also allow learners the opportunity to complete work experience in a laboratory environment where they can experience the job of a laboratory assistant. This programme is also ideal for learners who are considering further studies in such areas as Biological and Chemical Science, Food Science, Genetics or a Laboratory Apprenticeship programme.

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skill and competence in medical terminology.

You will also learn about the administration and front-line reception duties for a medical receptionist or secretarial role in a medical practice, clinic and or hospital setting.
