This is a one year course ideally suited to the practically oriented student. On completion of this course, students sit QQI Examinations. Successful candidates will go on to further training in DIT or ITs. Students may also seek direct entry to the Catering Industry. Work experience forms an integral part of the course.

Nursing Studies course is designed as a programme of preparatory study for learners to study a degree course in Nursing. This course aims to provide a progression route to a nursing degree programme.

This course is ideally suited to the student who wishes to pursue a career in the marketing or advertising industries. The key modules of Marketing, Advertising and Behavioural Studies, combined with core business and IT skills, prepare the student for immediate entry into the workplace or for progression to further study.

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings and / or to progress to further or higher education and training.

The Art Graphics and Printmaking (AGP) course is a comprehensive program designed to help students build a versatile and dynamic portfolio that bridges the gap between traditional fine art and modern digital design. The curriculum offers a rich blend of disciplines, including painting, printmaking, and photography, alongside intensive training in computer-based design. By utilizing a dedicated digital studio equipped with industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, students gain the technical proficiency required for the competitive world of visual communications. This dual approach ensures that graduates are equally comfortable with a paintbrush as they are with a digital stylus

This one-year Nursing Studies course will introduce you to practical experience in healthcare clinical settings which, combined with an insight into theories relating to the nursing profession, will enable them to deliver high standards of care. This course is designed to combine aspects of nursing theory and practical aspects of clinical nursing experience. 

The college offers a QQI Level 5 Hairdressing course which provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the hairdressing profession. The course covers all aspects of the industry, including work experience, and equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to progress into an apprenticeship.

The college is proud to deliver the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship in Hairdressing and works closely with employers and all key stakeholders in the Hairdressing industry.

The aim of this course is to offer students a unique opportunity to develop the essential craftsman skills to design and manufacture handcrafted furniture. Students will learn how to program and use industry standard CNC routers and laser cutters. These skills will assist students to pursue a career in furniture manufacturing/woodworking industries, or in the areas of furniture design and product design.

The Art, Craft and Design (ACD) course offers students the opportunity to explore the varied aspects of fine art, design and craft. Over the year students develop and enhance basic skills in drawing and design and transfer these skills into other areas of study such as ceramics, painting and combined materials amongst others. The student will finish the year with a comprehensive range of skills and a professional portfolio of work. They will also take part in a group exhibition where they get the opportunity to exhibit their work professionally.

The Nursing Studies program is a comprehensive foundation course designed to equip students with both the academic requirements and personal qualities essential for a successful career in healthcare. The curriculum blends rigorous classroom modules with a mandatory work placement, which students arrange in a healthcare setting of their choice to gain vital hands-on experience. By providing a deep overview of key nursing topics and clinical skills, the course prepares students to work safely under supervision in diverse care environments. Additionally, it offers unique insights into the modern healthcare sector while actively preparing learners for third-level academic studies, university interviews, and rapid career progression.

Students will gain the knowledge base and practical experience required by a health fitness professional in today's leisure industry. Successful students will be proficient in areas such as screening, fitness testing, programme development, class instruction and the general day to day running of a gym or leisure centre. They will acquire the relevant knowledge in anatomy, physiology and nutrition to ensure they are competent in their delivery of safe and effective fitness programmes.

This course in Business Administration and Office Technology Studies is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of information and communications technology alongside practical, high-demand administrative skills. The curriculum focuses on developing professional typing, audio secretarial competencies, and digital literacy required to execute a broad range of organizational and secretarial tasks efficiently. 

If you wish to enter the IT workforce, this course will introduce you to a range of computer applications. At the end of the course, you will be confident and proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Access. You will also learn how to design and produce both web pages and mobile applications using a range of software tools including those from the Adobe suite such as Adobe XD and Dreamweaver.

Over 80% of your time will be spent on the computer. This course will enhance your skills and knowledge to prepare you for entry level in the world of work in areas such as administration, sales, of-fice/secretarial work and technical support. This course will also enable you to progress to further or higher education.

This one year full-time course at Post-Leaving Certificate level is designed for students who aspire to apprenticeships in Carpentry & Joinery or related trades. It also allows successful students the opportunity to progress into further studies at Third Level or Further Education.
