This course is suitable for those interested in the professional side of the construction industry. The course will cover core areas of construction management, including Building Information Modelling (BIM),modern construction technology, lean project management and modern construction procurement and contract management. 

This one-year access course equips candidates with the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to progress to third-level education at TUS. Graduates can gain entry to a range of TUS courses at higher certificate/ordinary degree level for the following academic year on successful completion of all elements of the course, including examinations and in some cases interviews.

The access course gives students an understanding of computing, basic technology, science, engineering, business and humanities. Teaching methods include a combination of lectures, tutorials, project work and other assignments.

The programme offers an integrated an internationalised approach to delivering end to end software development skills. The focus on the practical problem-solving skills required for software developers. Programme participants will also gain an integrated and critical knowledge of the skills and particular technologies widely used in the industry today.

The BBs (Hons) in Business Studies with Event Management includes both the creative and business aspects of event management. During your studies, you are encouraged and facilitated to further develop your creativity and also acquire strong business know-how. By combining technical event management skills with business competencies, you can work and progress your career in a wide range of event-related settings. There is a full semester of work placement and/or the option to study at one of our partner universities across Europe, as well as regular field trips and guest lectures. 

A Motor Mechanic is a skilled technician who services, diagnoses and resolves technical concerns with light passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. This apprenticeship programme covers a range of key motor mechanic skills and knowledge which are essential in the workplace. The programme consists of 7 phases in total combining a mixture of ‘on the job’ learning and on campus training.

The Sous Chef Apprenticeship is an ‘earn and learn’ Honours degree programme that combines on-the-job training with academic study in a Technological University.

This programme is designed by industry and academic professionals so the apprentice will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies at an advanced level, to ensure that all aspects of food preparation, production and service is carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with food hygiene regulations, company standards and policies.

Apprentices will be concentrating on areas such as personal development, food innovation and the capitalisation of market trends whilst endeavouring to exceed the guest expectations and the management of department finances and budgets.

This Level 7 Bachelor Degree Add-On programme develops students in the field of culinary arts. Students will acquire the critical thinking and applied skills necessary to succeed in various chef roles, culinary businesses, food enterprise development, and/or food innovation management.

The Chef de Partie Apprenticeship is an ‘earn and learn’ degree programme that combines on-the-job training with academic study in a Technological University.

A Chef de Partie is trained to: deliver advanced culinary skills in a professional kitchen; supervise a particular area or station within the kitchen; work on their own as well as train Commis Chefs.

The Higher Certificate (Level 6) in Arts in Bar Supervision qualification is recognised worldwide, and aims to provide learners with professional craft and management skills, who wish to pursue a career in the industry. This course is also suitable for individuals who wish to advance in their current position.

This special purpose single subject award ensures that all students are competent in the production of bread, gateaux, pastries and desserts. Particular emphasis is placed on the scientific principles and production processes underpinning this discipline.

This course covers the essential skills required to progress your career in pastry, baking and desserts. This is a one-year common entry course to the honours degree courses in the Built Environment. Successful completion of this Common Entry Year will entitle the student to progress into Year 2 of the following courses, subject to availability of places:
