At the end of this programme, students will be able to competently carry out key activities and manage a pig enterprise. Students will have acquired the necessary knowledge, skill and competence to progress to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture (Pig Management) programme.

The Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture is the Teagasc recommended education pathway for an operative. Students who have completed the Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture, or equivalent course, are eligible to apply for Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture courses.

This course provides young people the knowledge and skills required for:

• Working in the farm machinery industry e.g., agricultural contractors, fabricators and machinery sales, etc
• Running an agricultural contracting business
• Transferring to Year 2 of the B Eng (Agriculture) in IT Tralee

Course content includes maintenance and repair of machinery, vehicle electrical principles, workshop practices, crop management and production equipment, farm vehicle maintenance, work practice, business management, business planning and information technology.

This course is aimed at developing a musician's ability in the areas of performance and musical awareness and to further enhance his/her skills through music technology and computer applications. This course provides students with hands-on experience, training and in the various aspects of the music industry. Live performances and studio recordings are an integral part of the course, which is designed for musicians, songwriters and producers.

Through continued commitment to rehearsal, students develop the discipline that is required to work in the music industry. Students present, produce and perform a number of live performances as part of their course work. These offer an ideal environment in which each student can put the knowledge and skills gained on the course into use.

Students who undertake this one-year course in Physiotherapy studies will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of rehabilitation and an insight into how to assess and treat clients whose movement is restricted by illness, injury, disability or age. This programme is ideal for both school leavers and experienced mature persons seeking a formal education.

This is a portfolio preparation and general art course for students who wish to gain entry to a third level Art College in Ireland, the U.K. or abroad. The emphasis will be placed on the preparation of a balanced portfolio as well as developing skills in the art, craft and design areas. The portfolio, showing the student's individual sense of design and pattern, can use a wide variety of the modules covered on the course as well as the student's own interpretation of colour and design. Depending on the combination of modules a student can achieve a qualification in Fine Art or Design/2D.

Students will have the option of taking a language, Irish or Spanish, along with European Studies or can focus on a more English Literature based course, which will lead to a general studies option.
