There is a strong emphasis during the programme on practical business projects to develop the skills required by graduates in the workplace.

A two-year course at GMIT Galway campus designed to give students a firm foundation in business, and the opportunity to progress to a degree in Business

This course aims to provide a broad business education. Students applying under CR 021 share a common Year 1. They will not be required to choose their preferred specialisation until the start of Year 2. Specialisms offered are Accounting, Business and Marketing.

This four-year full-time course offers you a broad range of business skills combined with a thorough knowledge of the financial and economic environment in which firms operate. On graduation, you will have developed personal and professional skills which will give you the confidence to start a successful business career, in Ireland or overseas.

This course equips you with the applied skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in business, thus ensuring you will have a wide range of career options. In the first two years you will explore the fundamentals of business and from Year 3, you can specialise in an area of interest.

The Cloud Computing pathway of the BA (Hons) Business provides learners with the knowledge and technical abilities to provide optional cloud-based solutions to a variety of business scenarios. Each level builds a combination of business and technical skills.

The programme aims to create a well-rounded business graduate whose insights will guide and inform strategic business decisions designed to increase productivity, profitability and an organisation’s value and market share.

The blend of business modules with practical IT skills on this course is a great balance between learning about business, accounting and economics and the day to day IT requirements of working in many business sectors. Successful graduates of this course have the opportunity to apply for progression to popular 3rd level business courses such as Business Studies in DCU (DC111) or Commerce in UCD (DN650).

This course is highly intensive and is open to Post Leaving Certificate Students and Mature Students.

Through this course you will learn that as a HR professional you can specialise in different areas including, employee relations, industrial relations, recruitment, and learning development, equality, compensation and benefits as well as HR generalist roles.

All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week.  Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
